Situated 55km north of Pretoria on the N1 highway to Pietersburg, The Carousel Casino and Entertainment World in the North West Province, is located on a site approximately 27 square kilometres.
The flamboyant and impressive entrance of the complex is a golden tribute to The Carousel - marble horses cavort beneath a cascade of water and a spectacular rose garden leads to the entrance.
Opened in November 1991, it was the first casino in the country to payout a jackpot of over R5-million (on 1 January 1996) and has made 100 instant millionaires.
The Carousel underwent a major refurbishment at the beginning of 2005. These changes saw the introduction of ultra-modern technology such as the Smart Card gaming system (allowing for safer, more hygienic and convenient gaming), a stunning smoking lounge, a luxurious MVG Lounge and a service-friendly centralised MVG Desk.
All the while, great care was been taken to ensure that The Carousel retained its classic charm, old-styled rollicking entertainment and service reminiscent of days gone by.
